Safe by Choice: People, Prevention and Preparedness. The Mining Learning Summit in British Columbia will unite health and safety leaders, the mining regulator, associations, unions, OHS committee members, mine management and workers. Centred on the theme of People, Prevention, and Preparedness, this year’s summit takes a people‑first view of what makes mining successful: keeping workers healthy, anticipating and mitigating risks before they occur, and building the capacity to respond with confidence. Attendees will connect with peers and engage directly with guest presenters and speakers who are leaders in their areas of expertise, sharing practical insights on modern complex challenges shaped by globalization and rapidly advancing technology. Through keynote talks, interactive sessions, and collaborative forums, participants will explore innovative approaches to strengthening safety culture, enhancing operational resilience, and equipping teams to act proactively. Our programs are designed using world-class innovation techniques to drive conversation and provide real value that you can take back to the workplace. The HSE Mining Learning Summit - Canada provides one stream of agenda, consisting of training, skills development, humancentric sessions, and breakouts, alongside inspiring keynotes and case study workshops.

In all our sessions we implement Chatham House Rules which if you don't know means anyone who comes to a meeting is free to use information from the discussion but is not allowed to reveal who made any particular comment. It is designed to increase the openness of discussion.
