About Peter Russian About
Peter is the CEO of Intent-Based Leadership International, formed in 2021 with the author of Turn the Ship Around, and former submarine captain, L.David Marquet.
Peter spent 25 years in the UK where he pioneered the development and assessment of good practice standards in leadership and management and for 15 years was the Chief Executive of Investors in People Scotland.
It was through this work that he saw how Intent-Based Leadership challenged the traditional idea and assumptions of what leaders do and who leaders are, and in 2018 joined Captain Marquet to help organizations to realize the benefits of this approach.
Since then he has worked with clients ranging including National Grid, NASA, Hewlett Packard, Tyson Foods, EDF Energy, Mars and an F1 racing team.
He was the recipient of the 2012 HR Network Award for Outstanding Contribution to HR in Scotland, and was a finalist in the Sir Alex Ferguson award for Leadership in 2015.
In 2023 he relocated from Scotland to Brookline, MA where he and his family are enjoying life on this side of the pond!
