Dallas Cain is the Vice President of Health & Safety at Elk Valley Resources, bringing over a decade of senior leadership experience in high-performance safety culture across mining and heavy industry. Since joining Elk Valley Resources in 2024, Dallas has led transformative H&S strategies—first as Director of Health & Safety and now overseeing the company’s full safety portfolio. His work is focused on elevating operational excellence, advancing risk management systems, and driving a proactive, people-first approach to workplace safety across the organization.
Before Elk Valley, Dallas spent more than 11 years with Teck Resources, progressing through multiple leadership roles—including Director of Health & Safety for Teck Coal—where he championed major safety improvements across large-scale mining operations. He also brings nearly a decade of global EHS experience from 5N Plus Inc., spanning Asia, Europe, and North America.
A former professional triathlete with Triathlon Canada, Dallas combines discipline, resilience, and a continuous-improvement mindset with deep technical expertise to build safer, stronger workplaces.
