About Steve Holmes About
Steve is the Chief Operating Officer at COMET, responsible for the delivery of the day-to-day activities of the company’s operations, with a primary focus on developing and managing the company’s software and services.
Steve is a former FTSE-100 executive with a health and safety brief extending across the UK and international operations. He graduated in Business Studies in 1997, towards the end of a successful period with British Gas where he gained significant operational and project management experience. It was also there that Steve became interested in people and safety, a passion he decided would be his career in 2007.
Health and Safety director positions would follow at both Amec Foster Wheeler and Balfour Beatty. With a desire to see if he could make a difference across industries, Steve set about proving himself in oil and gas, rail, power, petrochemicals, and more recently in the water and waste management sectors. An opportunity to transfer and utilise those skills and experiences in a multi-sector, international software company brought Steve to COMET.
Steve is married to Rachael, he has 2 children and lives in Norfolk, England.
