About Dr. Richard Heron About
Prof. Richard Heron MB ChB FFOM FRCP (London, Edinburgh, Ireland), FACOEM, SFFFMLM, is a global workplace health and wellbeing expert. His interests include business health and risk strategy, cultures of health, measuring wellbeing and business outcomes, employee health benefits, organisational change and workplace mental health. Medically trained and an accredited specialist in occupational medicine, he led global health strategy at BP until 2022. He now advises the World Economic Forum and RAND Europe, is Visiting Professor of work, health and organisations at the University of Surrey and serves as an independent member of the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council for the Department for Work and Pensions. Earlier roles include Vice-President Health at BP with responsibility for around 65,000 employees in 65 countries, Global Head of Safety and Risk Management and other leadership posts at AstraZeneca. He is a past President of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
