About Dr. Louise Lambert About
Dr. Louise Lambert, PhD, is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists in Canada, a researcher and former professor with 25 years’ experience in counselling, mental health, education and primary healthcare. Based in the UAE for 22 years, she consults to organisations and schools and teaches and researches in subjective wellbeing. Her expertise lies in positive psychology and the evidence-based strategies that foster greater wellbeing, a focus she has maintained for nearly 25 years.
She has produced multiple peer-reviewed empirical studies on positive psychology interventions and programmes, including cultural considerations, and recent work on youth wellbeing using PISA data. Most studies are at SCOPUS level and based in the MENA region and Canada. Dr. Louise Lambert is currently Head of Happiness Programming & Policy Design at HappinessMatters.org. Her portfolio includes designing, delivering and evaluating positive education programmes at Dubai College and Kuwait’s Al Nowair Foundation, and employee training for clients such as Aldar, Cigna Insurance Middle East, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, KAUST and Emirates Global Aluminium. She is also Editor of the Middle East Journal of Positive Psychology, the region’s peer-reviewed publication on wellbeing.
