About Amy Danko About

Amy Danko serves as the Senior Inspector of Mines – Ergonomics with the BC Public Service, bringing over a decade of experience in occupational health, ergonomics, and safety. Since joining the Ministry of Mining & Critical Minerals in 2018, Amy has played a key role in advancing workplace safety and wellbeing across British Columbia’s mining sector — a proud continuation of BC Public Service’s long-standing commitment to public safety, sustainability, and community service.In addition to her role with BC Public Service, Amy is a Clinical Faculty member at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine and leads her own consulting practice specializing in ergonomics. Her career includes extensive experience with WorkSafeBC and Providence Health Care, where she focused on injury prevention and healthcare quality.
