Representing Safety Function, Brad MacLean is a senior safety executive and Master Trainer in the concepts of Energy Based Safety and Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) Prevention strategies. A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, Brad’s 36 years of experience in the Health, Safety and Environment function span operations, heavy construction, board service, university lecturing, and corporate governance. Brad has held senior construction safety management positions in both the owner and contractor communities.
Brad’s industry outreach includes past work with the Pipeline Contractor Association of Canada, the Canadian Gas Association, the Southern Gas Association, and the American Gas Association. He is a past sitting member of the International Pipeline & Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA) HSE Committee in Geneva, Switzerland, and is a founding member and past Chairman of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) Foundation H&S Committee in Washington, D.C. Brad is the Technical Advisor to the Oil and Gas SIF Prevention Forum, a forum that brings together the Safety Committees representing the Gas Processing Association, The INGAA/INGAA Foundation, the AGA, and the SGA. He is also the Advisory Board Chair Emeritus to the Construction Safety Research Alliance at the University of Colorado, Boulder and the Executive Director of the Safety Leadership Institute.
