I have spent more than 25 years working at the intersection of people, operations and risk. What continues to interest me about Health & Safety is not compliance on its own, but how we make it useful to the people who lead and do the work.
Today, as Global Vice President of Safety at Siemens, I developed and now lead the implementation of our multi-year global Health and Safety strategy and transformation roadmap. The work spans businesses, countries and functions, and includes regular engagement with senior leadership.
A large part of my focus is preparing Health and Safety for what is changing around us: new technologies, evolving workforce expectations, different operating models and emerging risks. That means strengthening serious-injury prevention, human performance and organizational learning, while using data and digital solutions to help leaders identify risk earlier and make better decisions.
I have worked across industrial technology, mobility, energy, retail and consumer goods, with responsibilities ranging from Environmental Protection and operational Safety to global EHS leadership. That breadth has taught me that strong systems have to be rigorous, but they also have to work in the real world.
I believe Health and Safety loses credibility when it becomes unnecessarily bureaucratic or disconnected from how work is actually done. My role is to connect enterprise direction with operational reality, build capability across diverse organizations and help leaders make better decisions for people and performance.
My goal is straightforward: protect people, strengthen resilience and make Health and Safety a trusted part of business performance.
