I lead investment governance and sustainability within a Natural Resources portfolio in Australia and New Zealand, spanning agricultural, horticultural, and post-farm gate assets. Working within one of the world’s largest pension funds in their Natural Resources asset class (C$19.7B as of March 31, 2026) provides material opportunities for impact within the global agricultural supply chain.

My focus areas span investment asset class and board level non financial governance architecture, climate risk framework development and mandatory disclosure readiness, human rights and supply chain governance, reputational risk architecture, and the financial materiality of safety modelled as a valuation channel. Reputational risk in high inherent risk sectors is not defensive. It protects access to capital and enables continued deployment.

I lead the portfolio’s sustainability integration plan, coordinate physical and transition risk assessment, and govern the pathway to mandatory climate disclosure under ASRS S2. Climate risk is an investment governance activity, not a compliance exercise

I designed a whole-of-person safety framework extending beyond physical safety to include harassment, discrimination, labour rights, and psychosocial risk. Adverse people events carry mandatory board reporting at the time of allegation. Human rights governance in agricultural supply chains is a direct indicator of management quality.

The core thesis over 15+ years in operational and institutional contexts: the quality of an organisation’s non-financial governance across safety, climate, and human rights is a leading indicator of management quality, capital discipline, and long-term asset value. Poor governance destroys earnings, erodes social licence, and signals deeper failures in leadership and culture. Most institutional investors treat these as compliance line items. I treat them as investment quality signals, including readiness for scaling.

Prior to institutional capital, I built my operating foundation across heavy industry, construction, and mining EPCM environments, where consequences are immediate and unforgiving.
