About Josh Moyers About
Josh leads engineering at Encamp, where he’s focused on building technology that makes environmental compliance simpler for every customer, at every facility. He joined Encamp in 2022 as a Principal Software Engineer and became CTO in 2023, bringing two decades of experience building products and growing engineering teams.
Before Encamp, Josh founded OpenCourse.app, an open-source education platform that used AI to help people learn complex topics more effectively. He also spent years as a fractional CTO, helping early-stage companies build lean, sustainable engineering practices from day one. Earlier in his career, he served as VP of Engineering at Sococo, where he helped build tools for virtual collaboration, and held technical leadership roles at IronRidge.
Josh holds several patents in real-time communication technology and studied linguistics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He’s based in Mill Valley, California.
